Private beta

Privacy Policy

Effective August 4, 2026

This policy explains what LineBuddy collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how LineBuddy handles personal information when you visit the website, join the private beta, create an account, or use the Service. It applies to LineBuddy independently; it does not describe the practices of GetMotivatedBuddies or another unrelated product.

2. Information you provide

We collect the information you provide when you use LineBuddy, such as your name, email address, account credentials, invite-code use, feedback, and communications. We also process the scripts, sides, character settings, audio, recordings, notes, and other material you choose to upload or create in the Service.

3. Information collected through use

We collect technical and product-use information, including device and browser information, IP-derived general location, pages viewed, features used, clicks, session timing, error reports, and diagnostic information. We use cookies and similar local browser storage to run the Service, preserve sessions, remember preferences, and understand product use.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure LineBuddy; create and manage accounts; process scripts and rehearsal activity; maintain and improve features; troubleshoot errors; understand adoption and retention; communicate about the beta; enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for these purposes.

5. Analytics, diagnostics, and session replay

During the private beta, LineBuddy uses analytics, error-monitoring, session-replay, and similar diagnostic tools to understand how the product is used and to investigate problems. These tools may associate activity with your LineBuddy account, including your name and email address, and may record how pages and features are used. Password and standard form-input values are masked by default. We use this information for product improvement, support, security, and troubleshooting—not to sell personal information.

6. How information may be shared

We may share information with service providers that help operate LineBuddy, including providers of hosting, databases, authentication, cloud storage, communications, analytics, session replay, error monitoring, security, payment processing, and AI-assisted product features. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or security issues, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the beta, provide your account, protect the Service, resolve disputes, comply with law, and maintain business records. We may delete beta data when the beta ends or when it is no longer needed. Some limited records may remain where necessary for security, legal, or accounting reasons.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service or storage system is completely secure, so do not upload material that you cannot accept being processed by an online beta service.

9. Your choices and rights

You may stop using LineBuddy at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal information. During the private beta, send such a request through the same channel through which you received your LineBuddy invite. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. Children

LineBuddy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this policy, notify us through the beta invite channel so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. International processing

LineBuddy and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as LineBuddy develops or our practices change. We will post the updated version and effective date on this page. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
